The ACB Class uses the C44aci production model, with six members entering service in 2011 and 2012. They are slightly more powerful than the earlier AC Class, which are similar, but use the Cv43aci production model. In 2019 some members of the ACB Class units were transferred from Western Australia to operate Hunter Valley coal trains in New South Wales.
