The Redcliffe Peninsula line is Australia’s newest passenger railway, which opened in October 2016. It branches off the Caboolture line at Petrie. The line is double track throughout. The terminus at Kippa-Ring station is located about 4 km from Redcliffe, on the shore of Moreton Bay. Ferries link Redcliffe with Moreton Island. All trains on the Redcliffe Peninsula line stop at all stations, and services typically extend to Springfield after travelling through the city.
