The Springfield line is a branch line in Brisbane’s south-western suburbs. It branches from Darra on the Ipswich line. The line is relatively new, being completed in December 2013. Most of the Springfield line runs adjacent to the Centenary Motorway. Services from Springfield typically run to Bowen Hills, stopping at all stations, and then extend to Kippa-Ring after travelling through the city. The Connecting SEQ 2031 report included a proposal for the line to be extended to Redbank Plains and possibly to Ipswich via Ripley.
