Year of entry into service:
Six members of the AB Class entered service from 1969 with Western Australian Government Railways. They were most recently used for grain haulage in Western Australia. One was scrapped and three were exported for service overseas, while AB1535 is preserved by the Wheatbelt Heritage Discovery Centre. The remaining unit, AB1504, is now stored.
