Sydney

Most suburban passenger train services in Sydney are operated by Sydney Trains. The designations T1–T9 are used by Sydney Trains to refer to lines in the suburban area, with some lines combined into the one designation where trains run over the same lines on a regular route. The following separate timetables are issued for Sydney Trains services:

  • T1 Western Line

  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

  • T3 Bankstown Line

  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

  • T5 Cumberland Line

  • T7 Olympic Park Line

  • T8 Airport & South Line (via East Hills)

  • T9 Northern Line.

Metro Trains Sydney operates the Sydney Metro North West line between Chatswood and Tallawong.

Passenger train services in the Sydney interurban area are provided by NSW TrainLink and are referred to as Intercity services. They service the following lines:

  • Blue Mountains

  • Central Coast & Newcastle

  • Hunter

  • South Coast

  • Southern Highlands.
